How it works

With your own bike you can go anywhere you want to. This is for people who want to see more of the country than you can from a coach or main road.  See the real views, have some fun, step outside your comfort zone.  All bikes are road legal but also ideal for our unpaved and gravel roads & tracks, where you get to see the best bits.  Take a risk, live free and enjoy it.  This is what real motorcycling is about!

We find that bike that you want.

You simply tell us what you want to spend, where you’d like to go and we’ll source the best bike for you.
We recommend dual purpose mid range bikes for off road use, but we’ll get supply you with whatever you want, from a scooter to an 1800cc.  The choice is yours.

Where can I go?

Anywhere you want!

We have some great routes that we can recommend and for a small fee, we will arrange for you to have a day out with an adventure ride instructor at the start of your holiday.  This lets you get used to the bike you have bought, learn about our off road tracks and also see some stunning scenery on the world famous Coromandel Peninsula.  You will visit old gold mines, Maori sites and see stunning beaches.  Plenty of time for photos too.

Can you pick me up?

Yes. We can pick you up at the airport in Auckland, bring you down to the bikes at the base of the Coromandel and put you up for a day at the start and end of your trip if you wish, as we have accommodation.  Hence you start off fresh and rested on your trip.  If you wish to drop the bike off in South Island, we can arrange for it to be bought back here to complete the buyback deal or be stored for your next visit.  Choice is yours.

What about insurance?

We can arrange insurance if you wish, but you don’t legally need it here as you are covered for third party personal insurance as part of your registration fee to the government via ACC (Accident Compensation Corporation). We advise taking out third party property protection which will cover you for damage to another persons property.  We sort out all the paperwork on arrival for the transfer of the bike into your name and insurance if you wish.

Do you guarantee to buy the bike back?

Yes we do provided that it’s in similar condition to what it was when we sold it to you. Check out our price guide by clicking here.

How do I pay you?

We take credit cards so you can pay for the bike using a card and the buyback price will be credited back to your card.  Easy and no fuss.  If you’d like us to sell it on your behalf privately, we will arrange this for you too.  We are totally flexible to fit in with you.
